A Major Project!

Dear friends of the gallery,

We are delighted to share some wonderful news with you: André Desjardins is about to create a monumental sculpture that will be installed in front of the future Pavillon des Naissances at the Hôpital de la Cité-de-la-Santé in Laval. The installation is scheduled for spring 2028.

The work is conceived as a celebration of life, a tribute to childhood—an ode to vitality, imagination, and that boundless ability to dream carried by every child. It will bring together four children playing at what they dream of becoming one day. Perched on large rocks, each seems to have paused mid-play, suspended in a moment of wonder.

Come discover the aspiring pilot, the endearing future veterinarian, the daring acrobat, and the dreamer. We very much look forward to presenting to you the small-scale versions of each of these children. The clay maquettes are now complete in the studio and available for acquisition.

The result is magnificent—truly breathtaking—and already hints at the strength of the monumental work to come. We invite you to attend the unveiling of the clay maquettes from the “I Would Like to Be…” series at Galerie ROCCIA.

We have chosen to welcome you in small groups of 20 to 25 people, in order to take the time to share a meaningful moment with each of you. All details can be found below.

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing this special moment with you.
