In 2018, the MRC Memphrémagog was the first regional county municipality in Quebec to become “Friends of the Monarchs” of the David Suzuki Foundation. Five years later, I am thrilled to know that the City of Magog is following suit in concrete terms by developing its “Garden of the Monarchs” this spring at the foot of my monumental sculpture “Libre”.

To my eyes, facing Lake Memphremagog, stream by which I grew up, “Libre” was already taking on its full meaning. Now surrounded by Monarchs in freedom, the symbol of “Libre” will echoe even more. This summer, I invite you to discover or rediscover the work in its new setting!
